We are…

We are...

A People and a Place where God dwells

We believe that God has called us to be a people and a place where God dwells and where He can be found. We are called to be built together around His presence and intimate relationship with Him as our saviour and our God.

A People transformed by His presence and equipped by His Spirit

In His presence there is healing and deliverance, captives are set free, the blind see, the deaf hear and the lame walk. By His Spirit, Jesus equips us, the church, to be like Him and to do His works.

Sent out into a hurting world to demonstrate His love and power

Just as he sent His disciples to be witnesses to His power and glory and to demonstrate the present reality of the kingdom of God. He sends us, to be His hands and His feet, bringing His light into the darkness and advancing His kingdom, bringing hope instead of despair, love instead of hate.

Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe that there is only one true God who is the eternal King, Creator, and Redeemer of all that is. He is perfectly holy, just, loving, and truthful. He has revealed Himself to be eternally self-existent – one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory.
  • We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We believe the Old Testament, written between about 1200 and 165 BC and the New Testament books, written in the first century AD, are the only infallible and authoritative Word of God and are the final authority for all Christian faith and life and are the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of humankind.
  • We believe in God the Father. God is creator. He hovered over the waters (the chaos) with intent and He spoke and out of nothing, nothing became something. God created everything and everything He created was very good. He created the world to be creative, and the pattern of humankind creating structures, societies, technologies etc are, as a consequence of mankind’s disobedience, an imperfect reflection of God as creative creator. The Father sustains His creation, is present within it and transcendent from it as well. He is good and can be trusted to be good in all circumstances. He is master and Lord. He judges everyone and everything by His standards of justice. God is worthy of all worship, glory and adoration.
  • We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God. Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is God’s Anointed One, lived a sinless life, and was empowered by the Holy Spirit to inaugurate God’s kingdom on earth. He was crucified, taking the penalty for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected, and ascended into heaven, is now alive today in the presence of God the Father and in His people, and will return to sit in judgement on those living and dead.
  • We believe that the person of the Holy Spirit is fully God and equal with the Father and Son. The primary ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit also convicts unbelievers of their need for Christ and gives spiritual life through regeneration. The Spirit indwells, sanctifies, leads, illumines, and empowers all who come to faith in Christ to godly living and service. After conversion, the Spirit desires to fill, empower, and anoint believers for ministry and witness, distributing gifts to believers, as He chooses, for the building up of the church. These gifts are divine provisions central to spiritual growth and effective ministry and are to be eagerly desired, faithfully developed, and lovingly exercised according to biblical guidelines.
  • We believe that Satan was created as a powerful good angel by God, but rebelled against God's rule and was ejected from His presence along with host of angels. Satan is the father of lies and lives to pervert and destroy all that is good and has established a counterfeit kingdom of darkness and evil on earth. We believe that Christ’s death on the cross and resurrection defeated the power of Satan over mankind and that Satan's final defeat and destruction is assured when Christ comes again. Until Christ comes again, followers of Christ are in a war, not with man and women, but with Satan’s spiritual forces of darkness.
  • We believe that mankind (men and women) was created in the image of God, righteous and without sin, to be in relationship with God and to enjoy Him. Our first ancestors bought into Satan’s deception and wilfully rejected the Lordship and glory of God for which they were intended. Because of their disobedience, Satan and his demonic hosts gained access to God's good creation, creation now experiences the effects and consequences of mankind’s original sin and sickness, death, and judgment entered the world. Mankind is therefore, born subject to sin and moral corruption, and is by nature and choice justly condemned in the sight of God. We are unable to save ourselves or to contribute in any way to a restored relationship with God.
  • We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, both local and universal. Through the Church his eternal plan to reveal his wisdom and mercy to creation, and to display his glory is accomplished. The Church is not a building or a denomination it is all the people who put their faith and trust in Christ. The Church exists to carry on the ministry of Jesus Christ and further advance His kingdom by undoing the works of the enemy, preaching and living the good news of God’s love, and discipling the nations – baptising and teaching them to love and obey God. Each and every Christ follower has a role to play. All are to be equipped for service by Christ’s apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, and endowed with the Spirit's gifts to worship God, proclaim the gospel, and to advance God’s kingdom of justice and love by releasing captives from the grasp of Satan and his hordes.
  • We believe that the gospel is the good news of the in breaking of the Kingdom of God and God’s plan of salvation for humankind through the life, death, and resurrection of his Son, our Saviour, Jesus Christ. The message of the gospel, that we are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ, and that anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing, and receiving Jesus as their Saviour and Lord, is the foundation for the life of the Church and our only hope for eternal life. The gospel message also tells us that we are not just saved from death and eternal separation from God, but also saved into a living daily relationship with God through Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Through whom we are progressively conformed to the image of Christ as we allow Him to work in our lives.
  • We believe that heaven and hell are real places. The personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to fulfil the purposes of God, who will raise all people to judgement, bring eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost, and creating a new heaven and new earth, fulfilling His eternal plan. This hope fills us with confidence to live our lives fully surrendered to Jesus, with certain expectation of this eternal glory.
